Born in 1970, Edward Berger is a West German-born Austrian and Swiss director and screenwriter. He learned his craft in NYU's film program and directed the films Jack (2014) and All My Loving (2019) and series Deutschland 83 (2015) and Patrick Melrose (2018). His most recent film All Quiet on the Western Front (2022) won the Academy Award for Best International Feature Film.
