Guiding us on this journey is the poet Ovid, the eternal bard of love, who, transcending sentimentality and moral judgment, travels from Imperial Rome straight into our modern world to tell us this story. The eight protagonists' fates lie in the hands of the God of Love, a fickle and unpredictable deity, by turns benevolent and gentle, and at other times fierce and combative, who weaves their lives and loves into a complex tapestry.
