Born in Barcelona, Spain in 1960, Isabel Coixet is one of Spain's most prolific and award-winning female directors, having directed 15 feature films and seven documentaries. Her recent films include The Bookshop (2017) It Snows in Benidorm (2020) and Un amor (2023). In 2023, she received the Honor Award from the Academy of European Cinema for her contribution to European cinema.
